With our experienced technicians qualified up to IMI Level 3, Advanced Service Centre has the capability to provide effective and safe services on electric and hybrid vehicles of most makes and models, including Tesla.

Our pristine workshop in the Laindon area of Basildon, is equipped with all the equipment, such as rubber-tipped tools, which is required to safely undertake maintenance, repair works and servicing on this complex type of vehicle. We also set aside and isolate a ramp and bay especially for this work.

There are several different types of electric and hybrid vehicles:

• Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV):
  This vehicle type uses a battery to store energy and they need to be recharged regularly, like a mobile phone or device.
  Emissions Rating: Zero emissions and very efficient.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV):
  This type has an electric motor and a fuel engine, but its battery cannot be recharged by external means. HEVs use the fuel engine for long-distance travelling and the electric motor for short journeys, or at temporary traffic stops.
  Emissions Rating: Greater emissions, and less efficient than a BEV, but fewer emissions than traditional petrol or diesel vehicles.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV):
  This type has a fuel tank and a battery like a BEV which can be recharged externally. The PHEV has the capability to use the fuel engine when needed, making them more versatile than a BEV.
  Emissions Rating: Produce emissions from the fuel engine.
